About Indie Press Bulletin
Notes from a small independent book press, set in lead. No paywall, no SEO, no AI slop.
Why we exist
Small presses are fragile, and the ones that survive mostly do it out of stubbornness. The Indie Press Bulletin is the notebook of Tallow & Rivet Press, a three-person independent book press working from a former dental surgery. Editor Rosalind Fenk writes it, with the costs, the arguments and the mistakes left in. We publish three or four books a year and show our working: print-run ledgers, the choices behind each list, the letters that come back. The work is unglamorous and absolutely necessary.
